April 5 Patch Notes

General Changes
  • Various localization fixes.
  • Fixed an issue where item names in the Collectable Resources and Production Interface did not display correctly when playing in non-English languages.
  • Fixed an issue where switching to "Windowed Fullscreen" and then back to "Window" would prevent you from being able to change your resolutions until you restarted your client.
  • Reforged stats that exceed 100% success rate now properly display as 100%.
  • Fixed an issue where island owners could damage their own guard.
  • Adjusted inventory behavior so that moving an item resets the double-click check. Now, after moving an item, clicking once more won't activate it. Previously, moving an item and clicking immediately after would cause it to be used.
  • We discovered a long-standing bug after the last update, where players received higher-than-intended upgrade boosts from reforged stats.
    • This bug has been present since January 2024, and it caused players to receive up to a x3 upgrade boost at level 100 reforging instead of the intended x2.
    • Given how long the bug has existed, we believe simply fixing it now would be unfair to players who have been upgrading their gear during this time and onwards.
    • To balance this, we've fixed the bug but permanently adjusted the level 100 reforging boost to x3 — keeping the system's current behavior intact.
    • Items will now display accurate upgrade rates for reforged stats, matching the updated reforging values.

Client Crashes

We've made several complex changes to the game engine to help reduce the frequency and variety of crashes players experience, especially the unusual ones that occur throughout Seasons.

  • These engine-level changes are highly experimental—if they cause issues, we may need to revert them.
  • While this won't fix all crashes, it should resolve many of the persistent ones that occur over time, when you're AFK or actively playing in large player groups.
  • These crashes include "Failed to create texture," "D3D," "Ran out of virtual memory," various "SEP_DynamicLoadMap" errors, and more.
  • Players may also experience fewer FPS drops after prolonged gameplay (such as after 3-5 instances, depending on your PC).
  • There are still some minor changes we plan to make to improve this, but this should be a fairly noticeable change.
