Season 3 Restriction Adjustments
Based on community feedback from yesterday's announcement, we've completely revamped our season restriction plans. Beryllium equipment will now be exclusive to season characters until Season 3 ends. Since this is already a very large restriction, we've removed all other restrictions that we had in place. We did not make this decision lightly, and while it may not have been everyone's first choice (including ours), the overwhelming majority of player feedback guided us in this direction.
As a result, the following restrictions will apply to non-season characters throughout Season 3:
- Beryllium equipment will not be awarded from instance boxes (Clonium equipment will be given instead).
- Beryllium equipment will not drop from monsters (Clonium equipment will drop instead).
- Beryllium equipment cannot be crafted or purchased from NPCs.
- Beryllium equipment, gems, and resources will not drop from monsters and cannot be picked up.
- Beryllium items cannot be awarded from quests.
With regards to temporary event restrictions, they have remained the same as Season 2. These restrictions are as follows:
- The Soccer Event, Hau Event, and Nation War event will only begin on Season Channels 3 days after the start of a season.
- The Catastropha Cavern Event and Civil War will only begin on Season Channels 5 days after the start of a season.
- Based on feedback from Season 1, season characters can no longer participate in the following content on non-season channels until one month has passed since the season started:
- Entering/Taking Islands/Turfs
- Civil War Event
- Reaper Event
- Soccer Event
- Catastropha Cavern Event
Notes on Beryllium Equipment
We've been following everyones feedback regarding the new Beryllium equipment, their uniqueness, and their effects. We'll be making further changes once the servers are back online, and free of any major issues (most likely starting on Monday). These changes include:
- Changing their set effects so they are unique and different from level 13 items.
- We will be modifying the lower-level glows for level 14 weapons to make them more distinct and vibrant. Their default glows are currently a bit lackluster, so we will be enhancing them to better reflect their power and progression.
- Adding another layer of uniqueness to these items, by allowing for a fifth stat. We will provide more information on this fifth stat later, but it will essentially only be able to unlocked and upgraded by using a gem that can be purchased from the new Honor Store.
- Before the gem can be used, the item will be required to have a minimum overall stat level (for example a minimum level of 60 could be accomplished with 4 level 15 stats).
- The item cannot break from upgrading the 5th stat, but it will have a safe fail rate (obviously if you decide to upgrade the other 4 stats, it can still break).
- Possibly adding Grade 4 Turf Tokens to be used for Beryllium, I'm not sure if this is needed though and is up for discussion.
- We truly appreciate all the feedback we've received on the Season 3 changes so far and look forward to refining things even further with your continued input and involvement. Your voices help shape the game, and we can't wait to see how Season 3 unfolds. Enjoy the season, and we'll see you in-game!
FAQ
- What are season channels?
- Season channels are similar to season servers (something that we previously hosted). The key difference here is that they are not a separate server, but instead, they are separate channels on the existing Mystic & Triumphus servers that can ONLY be accessed by season characters. This allows players to start new characters and progress without being obligated to compete with already fully geared players/tribes right away, while at the same time not splitting each server in to a new server.
- What are season characters?
- Season characters are characters that are created during a season. Season characters can log in to both non-season channels and season channels (but non-season characters cannot enter season channels). Players can choose to create a season character or non-season character during the character creation process. Players will have a red “s” icon next to their name if they are a season character.
- Can season characters party/trade non-season characters?
- No, no matter what channel you are on, you will not be able to party, trade, or use booths for characters that are of different types. This means that season characters cannot party, trade, or use booths with non-season characters, and non-season characters cannot party, trade, or use booths with season characters.
- What happens to our season characters and items when a season ends?
- Season characters (and all the items on them) are automatically converted into non-season characters/items when a season ends. They will no longer be able to enter season channels, but you will still be able to use them on non-season channels. They will essentially become, non-season characters.
- Why are season characters allowed to go on non-season channels?
- We are allowing season characters to enter non-season channels so that they can still PvP and interact with non-season characters in a competitive and social way. However, they will not be able to earn any real benefit from each other (they CANNOT obtain each other's items and CANNOT give each other experience).
- How many season channels will there be per server?
- Each server will have 2 season channels, for a total of 5 channels per server (3 non-season channels, and 2 season channels)
- Will Seasons have any additional incentives to play on them?
- Seasons inherently provide players with various incentives, such as:
- A more equal playing field between new and old players.
- Access to additional channels, and thus resources/farming areas.
- Participation in more events, as season characters can engage in both season and non-season events.
- In addition, season characters will receive various buffs/boosts and exclusive content (see the above mentioned notes for more information).
- Will Season Channels have their own events?
- Yes, Season Channels will have their own events, but season characters can also participate in non-season channel events.
- This means that 2 different tribes might be the Lords of Ladianes on the same server, and 2 different nations might win the Nation War on the same server. One winner would be for non-season channels, and one winner would be for season channels.
- How long will each season last?
- Each season will last 3 months and have a 1-3 month cooldown before the next season starts. The durations and cooldowns of each season may change as needed.
March 1 Patch Notes
- The website game guides have been updated to have updated information (such as information regarding the Beryllium Sets).
- We've fixed an issue that was caused players to have an "Unknown Error" when logging in after crashes. We're confident the issue is fixed (we were able to reproduce it), but we'll be monitoring for a bit just in-case.
March 2 Patch Notes
- Fixed an issue where Beryllium Choice Gem Pouches only cost 1 G3 Turf Token. All pouch purchases prior to this server restart were reversed.
March 4 Patch Notes
- Fixed an issue where certain items weren't dropping for season characters in specific areas (e.g., Ladian's Graces in Wasteland, various items in the Tainted Lands, Wings in certain Instances, and Quivers).
- Corrected the respawn timers for monsters in Delphiroth Floors 3-6.
- Item stats with a 0% upgrade rate can no longer be upgraded. A notification will now inform players when a stat cannot be improved further.
- Players no longer earn Honor Badges from completing the Frozenland Instance during the Nation War.
- A Portal Shifter outpost and NPC have been added near Garell, now known as the Tainted Lands Outpost.
- The movement speed of Som Orcs has been slightly increased to better match other Som Orc-type monsters.
- Party members are now visible on the World Map.
- The attack speed of Wall Stones in Delphiroth Floor 6 has been reduced, as well as in the transition room between Floor 1 and Floor 2.
- NPC Search results now appear above Area Names in the World Map, previously they would appear behind the name (and could be hidden).
- Wall Stones can now attack from long distance, previously they would stop attacking if you were too far.
March 6 Patch Notes
- The player "Rusty" has officially been declared the winner of the "Level Race" contest. As a result, Experience Orbs can now be traded again.
- Blade Warriors now generate 7x threat to any monster damaged by their Blast Blade (previously 5x).
- Hau Island now rewards players with Beryllium Shards & Beryllium Choice Shards at level 300, instead of Clonium Shards.
- Monsters in Catastropha Cavern no longer drop Clonium items at level 300. Instead, they drop Beryllium items (Ores, Gems, and equipment with 1-4 stats at levels 4-11).
- Fixed an issue where two Catastropha Island monster packs could spawn in the same location.
- The in-game and website event guides now clearly outline the criteria and limitations for earning Honor Badges in each related event.
- Boss monsters in Delphiroth Floor 6 now drop Sephiroth Jewelry, but at a much lower rate than in Catastropha Cavern.
- For reference, after killing 50 Menodice monsters with a Subscription Drop Rate buff, we received 9 Sephiroth Jewelry (2 necklaces, 4 rings, and 3 bands).
- These monsters will continue to drop Delphiroth Jewelry. Please note that this does NOT affect the Sephiroth Jewelry drop rate.
March 7 Patch Notes
- Fixed an issue that was causing certain events the wrong Honor Badge limitations.
- Fixed an issue that caused Catastropha Cavern to sometimes still drop Clonium Gems instead of Beryllium Gems.
- Players can now see their wings while they are in a costume that does not have its own back attachments (such as wings).
- In Round Robin/Random Loot mode, nation-wide drops now skip party members from other nations to prevent lost rewards. This now ONLY applies to nation drop monsters (atm only the Hau Witch).
- We have adjusted the glows of level 15-19 Beryllium weapons, they are no longer as faint as they were.
- We've adjusted a house in Ladianes City to reduce the gap and make the Roof Top Hop quest easier.
- Dilithium Ore from the Evangelin on Bracket 5 Islands now drops in stacks of 30-100 (up from 15-50), and Dilithium Metal drops in stacks of 10-30 (up from 5-20).
- The Hau Witch now always uses Last Hit Loot Mode, even if your party has Round Robin or Random set.
March 15 Patch Notes
- Various localization improvements.
- Players can now purchase Beryllium Gem Pouches, Beryllium Choice Gem Pouches, and Aquamarine Gems from the Purified Orb Merchant in East Ladianes.
- Fixed an issue with the Somnium Stick where its glow didn't scale properly.
- Made adjustments to address a potential crash related to players, monsters, or NPCs moving out of view.
- Fixed an issue with the Honor Badge system that prevented players from receiving rewards if they switched to a channel that hadn't hosted the event before it ended (e.g., channel 3 for the Soccer Event).
- The Channel Select interface now automatically highlights the current channel.
- Right-clicking now immediately opens the "Quit Quest" pop-up menu — no need to hold down the right mouse button anymore.
- Players now receive Gem Shards when upgrading Eonic Weapons.
- Tribe Co-Leaders can now access all alliance functions and initiate tribe wars.
- The movement speed penalty for having your weapon unsheathed has been reduced to 2% (down from 10%).
- Fixed the "Safe Zone" quit option — it now correctly moves you to your respawn location and exits the game (previously, it caused display issues and failed to work).
- Players trying to exit the game (using the games interface) in no-logout zones (such as in islands) now get a message to move to a safe area.
