Season 2 Patch Notes

Tomorrow morning, August 2, 2024, at 7:30 AM ET, we will be shutting the servers down to apply updates for Season 2. The servers will be back online at 9:00 AM ET. During that time, we will post an additional news update to provide everyone with some general FAQs about Season 2 and to announce the Season 2 contests and prizes. You can compare your own timezone to ours using this link so that you don't miss the launch https://time.is/ET!

Season 2 will last a bit over three months, ending on November 4, 2024. During this period, we plan to introduce additional changes based on player feedback and various updates we intended for Season 2 but could not implement in time, including our release on Steam. Please note that, in addition to this announcement, all updates mentioned in the "Season 2 Preview" news article will be launched with Season 2. You can read the preview article here (https://www.turfbattles.eonicgames.com/news/198).

Without further ado, here are the changes for Season 2!

General Changes

  • Implemented various minor localization improvements.
  • Resolved a visual issue that incorrectly displayed Unlimited Arrows as able to be equipped by non-archer characters.
  • Blocking a player now prevents all messages from that specific character and their associated IP address, effectively blocking any other characters they log in with.
  • Item Durability now rounds up to the nearest whole number. For example, 0.2 durability will be displayed as 1 (previously, it would have been shown as 0).
  • Updated the in-game help pages.
  • Supreme gems can now upgrade level 20-stat items (such as Clonium equipment) up to stat level 14 (previously 12).

Multi-Language Localization Support

We have started making changes to the game to more easily support multiple languages. This update is being released in a "beta" state, with our initial focus on translating the game into Korean.

While not everything has been translated yet, significant progress has been made. Throughout Season 2, we will continue to release additional translations for the Korean language. Once we have translated more of the game and are satisfied with the translation process, we will expand to other languages, including Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. We may also offer players the opportunity to contribute to this process.

New Pets

  • We have added two new pets to the Pet Collection interface: Fire Demon and Fire Golem.
  • A new Giant Turtle Pet Boss has been introduced, which has a chance to drop a Turtle Pet Token.
  • Added a Mystical Stag pet, available exclusively through winning events during Season 2.

Cosmetic Loadouts

  • Blue, Red, and Violet Cheerleader Outfits are now available for purchase in the Cosmetic Loadouts interface.
  • For the remainder of Season 2, players can acquire three distinct Beach Outfits, including two previously unreleased designs. After the conclusion of Season 2, the option to purchase these Beach Outfits will be disabled. However, players who have acquired them will still be able to use them.

  • The "Magic Defense" item stat has been renamed to "Magic Defense Rate."
  • The "Attack Success Rate" item stat has been renamed to "Hit Rate."
  • The "Leni Drop Rate" stat has been renamed to "Resource Drop Rate" and now affects the quantity of resources dropped, including Leni.

  • The Resource Drop Rate granted from an active subscription has been reduced to 25% (previously 50% Leni Drop Rate).
  • Undead, Creature, Summon, and Mutant damage/defense stats have been removed from equipment and the character information windows. They have been replaced with general Monster and Boss damage/defense stats.
    • Players with increased Monster "AP" will now inflict more damage to Monsters, and those who have increased Monster "DEF" and/or "DEF %" will receive less damage from Monsters (excluding Bosses).
    • Players with increased Boss "AP" will now inflict more damage to Bosses, and those who have increased Boss "DEF" and/or "DEF %" will receive less damage from Bosses.

Chat Shells

  • Shells no longer lose durability from damage caused by monsters or players. Instead, they now lose 0.25 durability each time you use the chat feature.
  • All shells can now be repaired at any store for 1,500 Leni per durability point.
  • The maximum durability of Magic Shells has been reduced to 50 (previously 255). This means you can send up to 200 messages with a Magic Shell before it requires repair.
  • The purchase price of Magic Shells has been increased to 200,000 Leni (previously 1,250 Leni).
  • Magic Shells now feature a new appearance, distinct from the Newbie Shell.
  • The maximum durability of Newbie Shells has been increased to 100 (previously 255). This allows for up to 400 messages before needing repair.
  • The purchase price of Newbie Shells has been increased to 400,000 Leni (previously 2,500 Leni).
  • If a shell's durability reaches 0, you will be unable to use its chat channel until it is repaired

Earrings & Aquamarine Gems

  • [Grade 2] Aquamarine Gems now upgrade earrings by 3 levels (previously 2 levels).
  • [Grade 3] Aquamarine Gems now upgrade earrings by 5 levels (previously 3 levels).
  • The earring upgrade cooldown has been reduced to 15 minutes for Season Characters (previously 30 minutes).
  • Earrings can now be enchanted with Drop Rate and Resource Drop Rate stats.

New Equipment

  • Belts: Belts have been introduced to the game and can be obtained by defeating general monsters and Delphiroth Bosses, with a higher drop rate from the bosses.
    • Each floor of Delphiroth drops a belt of a specific level:
      • Delphiroth Floor 1: Hunter Belt
      • Delphiroth Floor 2: Shadow Belt
      • Delphiroth Floor 3: Lava Belt
      • Delphiroth Floor 4: Imperial Belt
      • Delphiroth Floor 5: Blue Dragon Belt
    • Belts can be upgraded using primary gems (Sephiroth/Sephiroth Choice), with an upgrade rate equivalent to their jewelry level counterparts.
    • Belts can have up to 4 stats, and the possible stats include:
      • Defense Rate
      • Dodge Rate
      • Critical Resilience
      • Human Defense Rate (Only one Race Defense Rate per belt)
      • Nephilim Defense Rate (Only one Race Defense Rate per belt)
      • Boss Defense Rate (Only one Race Defense Rate per belt)
      • Monster Defense Rate (Only one Race Defense Rate per belt)

Belts

  • Wings/Capes: Wings and capes have been added to the game, and can only be found from instance bosses with a semi-rare (not average) drop rate.
    • Each instance bracket drops a different cape and/or wings, with the chosen difficulty effecting the drop rate of the item:
      • Instance Bracket 1 (120-159): Ragged Cape
      • Instance Bracket 2 (160-200: Butterfly Wings
      • Instance Bracket 3 (201-239): Wanderer's Cape, Golden Chicken Wings
      • Instance Bracket 4 (240-275): Bat Wings
      • Instance Bracket 5 (276-299): Legends Cape, Angel Wings
      • Instance Bracket 6 (300+): Armored Legends Cape, Armored Angel Wings
    • These items can be upgraded using primary gems (Sephiroth/Sephiroth Choice), and their upgrade rate is higher than their jewelery level counterparts (due to the reduced drop rate).
      • Please keep in mind that they still only go up until item level 9 (for now), so reaching max stat levels can still be difficult.
    • These items can have up to 4 stats, and the possible stats include:
      • Dodge Rate
      • Critical Resilience
      • Item Drop Rate
      • Resource Drop Rate

Delphiroth Dungeons

The health, attack power, absolute attack power, physical defense, magic defense, experience, and drop rates of all monsters across all floors of Delphiroth have been adjusted. These changes are intended to make Delphiroth suitable for slightly above average solo players or small groups (2-3 players) for leveling and farming. Key differences players should note include:

  • Monster Damage: Normal monster damage has been increased or decreased depending on the Delphiroth Floor, while boss damage has been reduced.
  • Monster Health: All monster health has been significantly reduced (including bosses).
  • Monster Drop Rates: Normal monster drop rates have been increased, but boss drop rates have been reduced (due to easier tanking/killing).

These adjustments make Delphiroth less challenging compared to instances but more accessible for smaller groups or solo players with decent equipment. It provides better experience and drops compared to other solo farming areas (e.g., East Ladianes), but is still more challenging. We can make further adjustments based on player feedback, so please share any input you may have.

Additional changes to each Delphiroth Floor include:

  • Monster Types: All monsters in Delphiroth are now classified as either "Empowered" or "Boss", ensuring they provide decent experience if you are within the appropriate level range for that floor.
  • Chaining Distance: Monsters now have a chaining distance similar to that on islands, preventing them from being dragged across the entire dungeon. This distance is larger than on the islands and varies between boss and non-boss monsters.
  • Respawn Timers: Most monsters have reduced respawn timers, allowing players to remain within 1-3 rooms instead of cycling through the entire floor. This change is particularly noticeable on Floors 1 and 2. New respawn times are:
    • Empowered Monsters: 60 seconds
    • Boss Monsters: 3 minutes
    • Boss Egg Monsters: 5 minutes
    • Palocera Bosses (Delphiroth Floor 1): 15 minutes (previously 60 minutes)

Quests

  • The Master of Skills
    • The damage and health of all bosses and megalopas in the South Veros Battle Arena have been halved.
  • The Eastern Lands Quest Line
    • Two new quests have been added, expanding the Quest Line to a total of 40 quests.
    • This quest line now covers levels 100-162 (with some variation depending on your Experience Rate).
  • The Fall of Vehellon Quest Line
    • This new quest line explores the fall of Vehellon and its people in East Ladianes.
    • Assist the people of Vehellon in finding peace, uncovering the events of their demise, and seeking vengeance.
    • The quest line comprises of 17 quests and is designed for levels 162-188 (with some variation depending on your Experience Rate).
    • To begin this quest, speak with Ate at the Vehellon Outskirts Portal Shifter in East Ladianes.
    • Damage and experience rates for all monsters involved in this quest line have been adjusted.
  • An Unlikely Alliance Quest Line

    • The quest line includes 10 quests and is intended for levels 188-201 (with some variation depending on your Experience Rate).

    • Damage and experience rates for all monsters involved in this quest line have been adjusted.

Balance Changes

We've tried to keep the number of changes made to each class minimal, this is because history has shown too many changes at once quickly leads to too much. Players should note that these balance changes are NOT set in stone, that means that they can change and/or additional changes may be made based on player feedback.

  • Blade Warrior
    • Blades now gain 0.0004% Attack Speed per Dexterity, previously 0.0002%.
    • The Kronos Stone Feet effect has been swapped with Enraged Warrior effect; this was done so that players must be using a Kronos Sword to apply Stone Feet. Essentially making it so the same blade warrior can't use both Stun & Stone Feet at the same time.
    • “Finsher” skills now drain a bit of mana each time they're used.
  • Fist Warrior
    • Warp Speed now has a duration of 70 seconds at level 10, previously 90 seconds.
    • Finsher” skills now drain a bit of mana each time they're used.
  • Archer
    • Archers now always gain 1 HP from Strength, previously after 500 Strength they only gained 0.1 Health per strength (which made the final 40 strength points in the 540-strength required for the Artemis set fairly useless).
    • Devastation now increases your ap by 200 and has a duration of 60 seconds at level 10, previously it increased ap by 300 and had a duration of 12 seconds.
    • The Aplite set effect that causes players to break free of stun has been replaced with an effect that causes all absolute damage to be reduced by 15%.
    • The Artemis set effect that causes players to break free of stun has been replaced with an effect that causes all absolute damage to be reduced by 20%.
  • Red Mage
    • The Helios Staff now has an added effect that has a 15% chance to multiply your damage by 60%. This is in combination with the Helios Fire buff.
  • Blue Mage
    • The Frost Barrage Debuff (applied by using Water Reduce on a target) now lowers the targets maximum health by 5% at level 10, previously 10%.
